Alex Kapranos ha smentito di volersi cimentare nella composizione di un musical: “Non scriverò nessun maledetto musical: ho solo detto di avere una buona idea per un soggetto, ma nulla di più”, ha precisato il cantante e chitarrista, “Capisco che il lasciar andare a ruota libera la mia immaginazione possa aver tratto in inganno qualcuno: è stata colpa mia, lo ammetto, perché è molto divertente parlare di certe cose. Io ho un sacco di idee, come per esempio una sit-com ambientata in un mattatoio russo, o un soggetto per un film di fantascienza intitolato ‘In time bin’, ma non è detto che mi metta subito a scrivere tutto”.
